Title: Executive Assistant

Salary Range: $35-55,000 DOE

Full or Part Time— Hours Flexible

Location: Midtown, New York City

 

Position Summary

The executive assistant will be responsible for managing the professional and personal office of Simon Roosevelt. Mr. Roosevelt’s principal work focuses on wildlife conservation policy, public lands, hunting and angling, and environmental issues, including involvement in several non-profit boards and public service organizations. Responsibilities of the executive assistant in this regard will include scheduling, travel arrangements, correspondence, and serving as the point of contact with senior executives and government officials. Greater involvement with substantive professional matters, like basic research and memo preparation, is possible, depending on experience level and interest. Additionally, the executive assistant will assume responsibility for management of certain personal affairs, including management of several households, bill-paying, basic bookkeeping, and family travel.

 

Job Duties

-Calendar management (RSVPs, meetings, flights, hotels)

-Correspondence (phone, mail, shipping, electronic)

-Bookkeeping

-Household management

-Travel arrangements

-Basic website management (Squarespace)

 

Candidate Qualifications

Required:

-Bachelor’s degree

-Fluency in English and Spanish

-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

-New York City resident

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Professional demeanor and communication

-At least two year’s experience in an administrative/non-profit office environment

-Facility with Apple products

-References (3)

 

Preferred:

-Knowledge of conservation and environmental issues

-Experience in basic issue research and memo preparation
